You sat idly down the street from me
Passing through my gaze on regular basis
I approached you on many occasion
Too afraid to take the leap
Your looks shouted proceed with caution
The reward could be both sour and sweet
The satisfaction of knowing
Weighed heavily on my mind
Under the high sun I tempted fate
I sped toward you with reckless abandon
Hoping it was meant to be
I seized my opportunity
Without a scratch I landed
Never more facing regret
When we encounter now
It is with familiar breath
A fear met and conquered
With valor I proceed
For we always knew
What was meant to be
